[YouTube] Hot Wheels: Spider-Man's Web of Terror

Mattel's Hot Wheels: Spider-Man's Web of Terror is a straight track playset, approximately nine feet in length, that first released in 1978. It includes Spider-Man's car that can be set in a rubber band-powered launcher that shoots it through the cardboard Cobweb cave, around the Spider's Eye loop, off a ramp, and through the cardboard Web of Terror featuring images of Doctor Doom, Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, and Kraven.

I took many photos since this is a rather large toy; some are on the carpet and I did some close-ups in the usual spot of smaller sections. It's tough to get a good view of the whole setup at the same time.

Hot Wheels used the Marvel Comics license on a number of toys in the late '70s/early '80s and since I'm posting this video shortly after the release of the second Avengers movie I decided to have a few of the Avengers join Spider-Man on the track. While Spider-Man's car features a unique design, Thor, Incredible Hulk, and Captain America are repaints of other Hot Wheels vehicles. As seen in the video, the launcher does not work well with all die-cast cars as the Hulk's weight distribution is an issue.
