Last video games ads post was September 2022 so it has been a while but I do have more and will hopefully continue getting them from time-to-time. One is fitting for the holidays as it's a Christmas-themed Game Boy ad from Nintendo. Two of them are retail ads from Target (Game Boy) and Walmart (Konami handhelds), and the last is a PC controller from Microsoft.

Gaming Ads: Backfilling #16
This is just a quick post to add a bit more to Batman Day. I uploaded two new handheld electronics ads, both from Tiger Electronics. One is for Batman Returns and the other is a general company ad with a bunch of games, including Batman.

Gaming Ads: Backfilling #15
I'm kicking off the new year by filling in some more game ads. I've not posted any new ones since last March as I've not been able to go through too many more magazines (don't have many remaining at this point) or comic books. I'm also giving American Game Cartridges (AGC) its own album now which it originally had with one ad on Flickr but then I opted to only give albums to companies with more than one ad which it now has. The Chiller ad says ShareData but AGC was a subsidiary of ShareData and the publisher of that game. For the backfilling there is a good mix, including California Dreams, Irem America, Konami of America, Nintendo of America, Sega of America, Taxan USA, and U.S. Gold. Happy New Year!

Gaming Ads: Video System USA and Backfilling #13
I've only got two ads for Video System so I'm going to do a little backfilling and this will be the last time I combine backfilling with a publisher. Therefore, I'll upload what I currently have which covers Acclaim, LucasArts, Midway, Philips, and SNK. Only four more publishers remain alphabetically for this project that I began about five years ago, though I may need to work backwards to add a few more publishers.

Gaming Ads: Three-Sixty Pacific and Backfilling #11
Three-Sixty Pacific was a developer and publisher that specialized in war games and simulations. It is best known for the naval sim series Harpoon and WWII strategy V for Victory games. The company was active from 1987-1994, at which time it ran into financial difficulties and was acquired by Intracorp which ultimately went bankrupt itself two years later.

Gaming Ads: Synergy Interactive, T&E Soft of America, and Backfilling #10
The T&E in T&E Soft are the first initials of the two brothers that started the company: Toshirou and Eiji Yokoyama. Founded in 1982, it released many games in Japan on a variety of platforms and continued to develop games up to 2002 when it was renamed D Wonderland. I'm not entirely sure what D Wonderland does but it is not involved in games. T&E Soft of America published two golf games in North American during the early '90s and nothing else.
Between Synergy and T&E I've only got five ads so I'm doing some backfilling for Nintendo of America this week as well. When I posted about Nintendo I mentioned it didn't seem to advertise heavily in early game magazines and when researching Game Boy more recently found that it did put most of its marketing budget into television and Nintendo Power. These five new ads I've got came from ESPN the Magazine and are Game Boy-centric.

Gaming Ads: SouthPeak Interactive and Backfilling #9
I only have two ads from SouthPeak and want to give Spectrum Holobyte its own week so I'm filling in a few ads for publishers I've already posted about.
